*Qualified referral – In order to become a qualified referral, the person who was referred must receive a proposal from Clean Energy Collective and have a solar consultation with one of our Solar Specialists. Referral must live within a Clean Energy Collective service area and be a customer or member of one of our partner utilities.

Clean Energy Collective Referral Program Terms & Conditions (June 16, 2014)

Clean Energy Collective will issue you an IRS Form 1099 for the amount of the referral reward if you exceed more than $600 in referral rewards in a calendar year. Clean Energy Collective will not withhold any taxes on your behalf. You are responsible for determining whether you owe any tax, and to pay any and all taxes in connection with the referral reward. The promotion cannot be combined with any other Clean Energy Collective offer or discounts, and the terms and conditions of the promotion are subject to change at any time without notice.

  • You must submit an IRS Form W-9 upon request prior to issuance of payment by Clean Energy Collective.

  • $20 qualified referral payments will be paid once your referral becomes qualified. This requires that your referral receive a personalized proposal from Clean Energy Collective and take part in a community solar consultation with a Clean Energy Collective Solar Specialist.

  • $25 per panel referral payments will be paid out after the final payment is received by the referred customer.

  • Clean Energy Collective will pay Referral Rewards by hard copy check to the mailing address you provide on a monthly basis.

  • There is no limit to the amount of people you can refer.

  • The referral program excludes clients currently in Clean Energy Collective’s sales process. Existing known Clean Energy Collective contacts will not be considered qualified referrals.

  • Only one referral award can be given per customer. If a customer is referred by more than one person, the first referral received will be the one rewarded if the customer becomes a qualified referral or purchases community solar panels. Qualified referrals who do not sign an agreement with Clean Energy Collective within 120 days of submission will expire.
